What happens at your first float?
You lie back in warm water so full of Epsom salt that you rest on the surface without trying. At Exhale, floats run 60 or 90 minutes. You are guided through the pod first, and the lid and light stay up to you the whole time.
Sound and light fall away, and so does a lot of the noise in your head. Many guests reach a depth of rest that is hard to find anywhere else.
Do I need to know what I am doing before I float?
No. First-time floaters are walked through everything before they get in. You can ask as many questions as you like, and nothing about it is rushed.
Can I float if I am a little claustrophobic?
Many guests with that worry find it easier than they expected. You can keep the door open and the light on. You stay in control from start to finish.
Will I sink or have to hold myself up?
No. The salt keeps you on the surface with no effort at all. There is nothing to hold up, so your joints and muscles get a break too.
What should I bring to a float?
Just you. Everything else is provided. Come a few minutes early so you can settle in before your session.
What do I do after a float?
Rinse off, then ease back in slowly. Most guests head to the tea room for a warm cup before going back out into the day.
If you are pregnant, have a heart condition or have any other health concerns, check with your doctor before you book.
